You learned in college that accelerating charges radiate. That is not quite accurate. In fact, the force of radiation resistance is proportional to the time derivative of the acceleration, and the radiated energy is the work done against this weird classical force from the future in the Wheeler-Feynman theory. A quantum version of this was published by Larry Bennett, then at Lawrence Livermore, in Phys Rev A, 1986 "Precausal Mechanics". I am not sure if John Cramer got this stuff really right in his transactional interpretation. I am still working on that.
